Will Halo 5 Be Any Good?

What's going on guys, I'm back again with another post! Today we'll be discussing Halo 5 Guardians, the new Halo that's coming out on Xbox one. I think the game will be released on October 27 this year, but I'm not totally sure. Anyway, let's discuss the game!

So Halo 5 had a beta in December last year that was only accessible to players who bought Halo: the Master Chief Collection. From the gameplays I've watched on youtube, it looks like it has boost dodging, sliding and double jumping, similar to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. To be totally honest, I don't really know how Halo fans will react to the new movement system. There are also more long-time halo fans out there than casual players, so this could be interpreted as a negative addition to the series. It also doesn't help that 343 also developed Halo 4, which I personally liked but a lot of halo fans didn't.

Another issue is that Halo MCC's release went down in history as one of the most flawed and shaky launches ever, and so far we don't know for sure that 343 won't make the same mistake this time around.

Some other changes to multiplayer include being able to use a jetpack slam to take out enemies below you, and being able to ADS (aim down the sights) with all of your weapons. If there's one thing I didn't like about what I saw, it was that this game looks too much like Cod with a halo paint job splashed on top. It doesn't have to be this way, just make the new halos like the old ones, you don't have to sink to Cod's level to be successful!

As for the campaign, the story follows (of course) the Master Chief, who has just lost Cortana (his AI companion) and is being marked as a threat to the UNSC by ONI. To deal with the MC, they send another spartan named Locke to assassinate him. I don't know anything about the story past this point, but however it is I'm sure it will be really interesting. Unfortunately I don't have an Xbox one, so I most likely won't be able to play the game when it comes out.

So what do you guys think about Halo 5? Will it be awesome or a total letdown like MCC? Put your thoughts down below!

It would also be cool if some of you guys who have played the beta could tell me what it was like and whether you thought it was good or not. And with that, I'll see you guys later!

Star Wars Battlefront 3 Coming out in November 2015!

What's up guys, it's Jbeast here and I've got some awesome news for you: the new star wars battlefront game is coming out in November this year! I know I haven't done a non-Call of Duty post in a while, so here's one for you! It will also be developed by none other than Dice, the guys who brought us the stellar Battlefield franchise. From what I hear, the game is only coming out for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, which sucks because I don't have a next-gen console or a PC powerful enough to play the game.

This is really huge for me, because as a kid I probably played hundreds of hours of star wars battlefront 1 and 2 and loved every minute. I really liked how there were different classes that served different purposes on the battlefield, and the huge variety in vehicles, from AT-TE's to Snowspeeders to even Tauntauns! I only played against the AI, but it was still really fun and one of my favorite games ever. The galactic conquest was what I really loved about SWBF2 though. The way you could build fleets and move them around the galaxy, buy upgrades for your troops and boosts and invade enemy planets was by far the best part of the game. I just wish it was fleshed out a little more, as it got a bit repetitive after a few games. If anything could be improved in Battlefront 3, then this would be my #1 choice. I'm sure the game will look stunning at 1080p and 60fps on the next gen consoles and gaming PC's as well!

There is one problem, however. My company nemesis, EA, is publishing it. The launch of games that were highly anticipated by lots of gamers, like Simcity 2013 and Battlefield 4 were totally mucked up at the hands of Electronic (f)Arts. Besides the launch, there are some other ways they could mess up the game, like extensive DLC and microtransactions (like battlepacks from BF4 and BFH), There will also be inevitable and major connection issues at launch and for months after the game's release date, as the Battlefield games have shown us. It's really a shame that DICE are still stuck with EA even after they have taken a crap all over so many well-loved franchises (The Sims/Simcity, Command and Conquer, Battlefield, and Dungeon Keeper) to name a few.

So what do you guys think about the new game? Will the launch be smooth or a total disaster like BF4? Comment what you think down below! I can't wait to see the awesome vehicle clashes and crazy 64 player action set in the star wars universe. And just imagine how epic the space battles will be!

Thanks for reading guys, and if we could hit 20 likes on this post then that would be awesome. See you all later!

Call of Duty Ascendance DLC: Worth It Or Not?

What's going on guys, it's Jbeast here and I've got another awesome post for you today! As you've all heard, the second DLC for Cod AW came out a few weeks ago on xbox, but is it worth $15? You'll know by the end of this review!

So, every DLC pack comes with 4 multiplayer maps, an exo zombies map and a new weapon. The maps are Site 244, Chop Shop, Perplex, and Climate. I don't know what the exo zombies map is called yet, but I DO know that it comes with a beast new microwave gun called the magnetron! Then there's the Ohm directed energy LMG-shotgun, which is super cool and one of the best weapons in the game at the moment. But there's more: a new exo ability called grapple has been added and put exclusively into a playlist with the Ascendance maps! I'll give a rundown of the four multiplayer maps, the new gun and the new zombies map in this review. Enjoy!

Site 244

Set in an alien crash site near Mount Rushmore, this map has a nice balance between frantic close-quarters skirmishes inside the ship and long-range battles outside. Because of the large distance between each side of the map and the plentiful tall rock pillars scattered throughout, your exo grapple will be extremely handy, especially in objective-based modes such as domination. This is probably my second favorite map in Ascendance.

Map Dynamics: Alien Serum that makes you much more resistant to damage can drop in Orbital Care Packages

Recommended Weapons: LMG's or AR's

Chop Shop

Situated in an industrial complex, this map offers tight CQC battles throughout the center, but your exo grapple can be useful to rapidly cross the large open areas on the sides of the map. Be sure to use the side passages to your advantage when trying to reach objectives!

Map Dynamics: Repulsion Turrets can drop in Orbital Care Packages

Recommended Weapons: SMG's, Shotguns or AR's

Climate

Climate takes place in a massive biodome with lots of longer-ranged battles around the circumference of the map and a large building/platform in the center that serves to create some frantic CQC battles. What weapon you use on this map will be largely dependent on where you're planning to fight, but I recommend an AR for good all-around stopping power.

Map Dynamics: Water becomes toxic about halfway through the match

Perplex

This map is by far my favorite one out of all 4 included in Ascendance. The modular building allows for grappling galore and interesting multi-level gunfights that would never have been possible with the other three maps. The top of the building constantly invokes crazy battles, especially in objective based modes like domination, where everyone is desperately trying to capture B in the heart of the action. If you want though, you can just pick people off around the sides of the map and avoid the main battle completely.
Map Dynamics: Drones fly in and interchange modules of the building which changes the flow of combat

Recommended Weapon: SMG with quickdraw and advanced rifling

But what about the zombies map? I've sunk about 1-2 hours into the new exo zombies location and I gotta say, it's miles better than the first one. It's set near some sort of a burger joint, and outside there's a lot of room to move around, which is a welcome change from the tight Atlas facility of the previous DLC, Havoc. What I love most about this map is that it is a good size and has a few varied locations without being too  massive for players to locate the 3D printer somewhere on the map. There's also a boss that throws these electric grenades to disable your exo, and uses a giant car door to block your incoming fire from the front. I found that he was definitely a challenge, even with four competent players that I was matched up with online.

As an added goodie, like I mentioned earlier the 3D printer has a chance of giving you this totally dope microwave gun called the Magnetron that can cook hordes of the undead super easily!

I gave the previous zombies experience a 5 out of 10, but the new Ascendance zombies map scores a respectable 8 out of 10.

Finally, let's talk about the DLC weapon, the beastly Ohm directed energy LMG-Shotgun. My take on this new weapon in multiplayer is that it's really OP and probably needs to be nerfed significantly. In LMG mode it's like a more powerful version of the Pytaek with better iron sights, and in Shotgun mode think of a way more powerful S12 that has 40 shells in the clip! Now do you agree with me? And did I mention that you can put rapid fire on it? It's by far the most used weapon in multiplayer at the moment. There are 2 elite variants of the Ohm just like any other weapon; there's the Restless and the Unending. The Restless has -1 damage and -2 clip size in exchange for +3 accuracy, and the Unending has -1 range, -1 accuracy and -1 fire rate in exchange for +3 clip size. Neither of the elite variants really blow me away, but that's not to say that I wouldn't be satisfied with getting one in a supply drop someday.

The Verdict

I give the COD AW Ascendance DLC a 9/10.

Pros: Awesome zombies map, innovative and fun grappling exo ability, excellent multiplayer maps, amazing DLC gun (unlike the AE4)

Cons: A bit overpriced at $15

Thanks so much for 100 likes on the previous post and for the continued support, it's why I enjoy creating new content for you guys! If you haven't checked that out yet you can right here. If we could hit 25 +1's on this post that would be totally rad.

Thanks again for reading, and I'll see you guys later!

What Are Your Thoughts On Buying Supply Drops In Advanced Warfare?

Pic Credits: Globe44HD
Hey guys, today I have another discussion-based post for you! Recently, Sledgehammer games, the devs behind Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, added a new feature to Xbox One where you can purchase supply drops with real money. These are called Advanced Supply Drops, and they are guaranteed to have one weapon inside and an item of professional rarity or higher. In addition, there are pieces of armor and clothing that are only available in these so called "advanced" supply drops.

What I've noticed about these is that saying they have a significantly better chance of getting you that elite weapon you want would be an understatement, as youtubers like Soo Superior and chaosxsilencer have received most of the elite weapons that they wanted out of these things, although they did spend upwards of $200 on buying some for an unboxing video.

If you want to know what my thoughts are on this, then I'll start by saying that I think it is an absolutely terrible idea. Not only is it basically akin to gambling for the elite weapon you want, $2 a pop? Seriously, I'd rather go to the store and buy a snickers bar and a gatorade than buy ONE of these that aren't even guaranteed to give you something you want. And it's not only what you're getting with these that suck, you are also buying them with the full knowledge that 100% of that money is going directly into the pockets of Activision, one of the most greedy gaming companies ever and the guys that screwed up a little game called destiny.

So what do you guys think about buying these supply drops? Comment down below!

Top 6 Underrated Weapon Variants In Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare

What's going on guys, it's Josh or JB3ASt here and I've got another top 6 for you today! You know when you get a weapon variant, test it, and find out that it's a total beast? That's what the list is gonna be today, so read on to find out what I think are the top 6 most underrated weapon variants in Cod Advanced Warfare!

I also have some honorable mentions to get out of the way first. There are a few weapon variants that qualified as underrated that I have used but didn't quite make it onto this top 6. Those weapons are: Ameli-Heavy, MK14-Hardtip, and Asm1-Competence.

(PS: These are weapons that I own or have used before, I haven't got a chance to use every weapon variant in the game. Also, most of these are enlisted or professional weapons).

#6- Asm1 Reckless

Coming in at #6 is the Asm1 Reckless. This amazing weapon has +1 fire rate and an integrated rapid fire, which means that your fire rate is three points higher and you can be an absolute bullet hose with this weapon in your hands! And as an added bonus, you get a sick reddish-orange camo by default on the gun! In my opinion, this weapon is actually much better than the speakeasy, because it gains fire rate but doesn't lose damage or range. You do lose 1 handling, but that just translates into about 5% hipfire and you won't even care.

The reason this epic weapon didn't make it higher on the list is because it is an Asm1 and lots of people already know about it and use it, I put it on here because in people's obsession over pulling the speakeasy out of a drop, they forget that it isn't the best Asm1, this one is in my opinion. The Rigor might have the effective range, but the Reckless has massively better CQC lethality.

#5- AMR9 Dynamo

In the #5 spot is the AMR9 Dynamo, which is a greatly underappreciated gun but one that can be exceptionally lethal at close range. Because of it's higher fire rate, it can really wreck people when they're close enough to you. The AMR9 was also buffed recently with less time in between bursts and slightly higher damage, so that made the Dynamo one of the elite variants that improves the most on the base weapon in my opinion.

So let's talk about the stats: while the damage, range and accuracy are all reduced by one point each, the weapon makes up for it with +2 fire rate, which means the 5 bullets in the burst are fired off faster than with the regular AMR9. The +1 mobility also will slightly reduce the ADS time, which is helpful but you probably won't notice it all that much. The reason it only made it to 4th place is because the AMR9 is still one of the worst guns in the game, even though it doesn't outright suck anymore.

#4- S12 Tiger Blood

The elite Tiger Blood made it to the #4 spot because it is probably the best weapon at close range, period. This thing rips through people as if they weren't even there, and can clear rooms with much less effort than the other two semi-auto shotguns. The post-patch S12 was already pretty good, but the elite variant gains +3 fire rate which will devastate the enemy team up close before they even know what hit them! It does lose 2 accuracy though, which means that the pellets will go off target and have a larger spread than normal. It also suffers from -1 damage, but you probably won't notice it at all, since the S12 is a gun you need to fire lots of shots to kill somebody anyway. I say that if you have this weapon, don't dismantle it for XP like most youtubers tell you to!

I think the S12 Tiger Blood is best with foregrip, laser, advanced rifling and gung ho.

#3- AK12 Hair Trigger

In case you haven't noticed already, I think that every weapon in Advanced Warfare that increases the fire rate is really good. The +1 fire rate on the hair trigger just vaporizes people up close AND at a distance with a foregrip. There really isn't much to say about this gun, because it's stats are really simple and it's an absolute BEAST at pretty much anything you need done. I even prefer this variant over the RIP (a 22 round mag, really?)

#2- HBRa3 Raider

You guys are probably thinking, (what's up with all of the high ROF variants, Josh?). Well, I'll tell you, plain and simple- a higher rate of fire will kill people faster no matter WHAT range you're fighting at, while damage only decreases the shots to kill at mid to long range, where you won't be fighting all that much to begin with. This is why I think the HBRa3 Raider is one of the best non-elite variants in the entire game and one that is often overlooked because of the Insanity or the Average Joe, which is kind of unfortunate. In fact, before I got lucky with the Insanity in an Advanced Supply Drop, this was the HBRa3 that I totally dominated with! For a lot of people, this might actually be better than the Insanity because of the absence of optic restrictions. Anyway, if you have this gun like me, USE IT. Trust me, you'll fall in love with this weapon the second you give it a go!

#1- ARX-160 Hole Puncher

If you have ever picked up this weapon and used it, you'll know why it made it to the #1 spot. The Hole Puncher just flat-out MELTS everything, whether at close, mid or long range. The +2 damage translates into a 52m one burst kill range. Yep, you heard me right. You can get cross-map 3 shot kills, which just totally BLEW my mind when I watched Drift0r's video (BTW check that out right here if you want). This is also the only gun on this top 6 that I haven't got yet, and also the gun that I want the most at the moment, although I wouldn't mind getting the Steel Bite instead. The Hole Puncher is basically a WAY more powerful version of the IMR that can shoot and move way faster, and a Steel Bite that has 10% less viewkick/recoil and no ROF nerf. Bottom line, if you have this gun, don't overlook it, there's a reason that so many players say it's the #1 gun in AW!

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this top 6 today, and check back soon for more Cod-related content! A +1 and a follow would also be nice. Stay awesome people, and I'm out...
