What's going on guys, JB3ASt here! This time it'll be a good old fashioned rant detailing Activision and their latest ripoff in the world of gaming. As you may already know, there was a Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies game on android a few years ago that I played a ton and thoroughly enjoyed, and it cost $6.99 normally.
When I tried to test the game on my Nexus 5 a few months ago, it seemed that the game was poorly optimized for marshmallow, as there were tons of screen tears and numerous other issues. It was then that I gave up on the game.
Fast forward to now, and today I saw a new app with the same name from Activision. It's the exact same game, except for the fact that it's optimized for 6.0 Marshmallow. I don't understand this behavior at all. Is there some reason I can't see that they can't just issue an update to the app that already exists? This is a scam and a ripoff, and there's absolutely no other way to put it! It's a slap in the face to people like me who paid a hefty $7 price tag to play zombies on the go in the past, and who would like to enjoy the game again.
Although this is disappointing, I don't really expect any different from companies like Activision or EA at this point. Yesterday, I noticed that Bejeweled Classic had been updated and I was ecstatic, since I had been waiting for new content in the game since May. When I got into the game, there was a giant button on the main menu that said "LIGHTNING MODE: BUY FOR $2.99." Why do I need to pay for an update that should be free, and also why is it so overpriced for what it is?!? I decided to use one of my free trials to see what it's like, and I can honestly say that it's identical to Bejeweled Blitz, which is actually a free game! So, you want me to pay for a game mode that has been offered for years at no cost whatsoever? These schemes from the big companies are reprehensible and unacceptable to say the least.
So please +Activision, Inc, stop making me pay for the same game twice. I'm not stupid enough to fall for crap like this, and saying it's extremely greedy would be putting it lightly. Please, just do the right thing for once and give the players who bought the original this updated one for free. Please.
